The NCR South Admirals 14U baseball team emerged as champions at the inaugural Babe Ruth League Philippines (BRLP) Nationals, held from 2-10 May 2025 at the Clark International Sports Complex in Clark, Pampanga. Showcasing outstanding skill, teamwork, and determination, the Admirals swept through their division undefeated to secure the title.
Among the champions are Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) varsity baseball players Joshua Gonzalez (7-Baena), Qio Sevilla (8-Fenwick), and Neil Vinluan (7-Alonso), who played key roles in the team’s remarkable performance.
Their victory grants the NCR South Admirals the honor of representing the Philippines at the prestigious Babe Ruth 14-Year-Old World Series, scheduled for 7-16 August 2025 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA. The international tournament will feature elite teams from around the world, including Puerto Rico, Nigeria, New Zealand, Curaçao, Chinese Taipei, and Mexico, alongside regional champions from across the United States.
As noted on the Babe Ruth League Philippines (BRLP) Facebook page, “This first edition of the Babe Ruth League Philippines Nationals is more than just a tournament; it’s a testament to the growing passion for baseball in the Philippines. As the event progresses, it is hoped that the league will continue to inspire the next generation of Filipino baseball stars, contributing to the country’s sporting legacy.”
Kudos to Joshua, Qio, Neil, and the entire NCR South Admirals team on this incredible achievement! We wish you all the best as you carry the Philippine flag in the Babe Ruth World Series this August.
