Manu Simpao joins U16 Philippine Men’s National Football Team

Following a rigorous tryout process, recent Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) completer Manu Simpao (10-Spinola, Class of 2025) has been officially selected to join the Philippine Men’s National Football Team (PMNFT) U16 by the Philippine Football Federation.
An incoming Grade 11 ABM student, Manu has proudly represented Ateneo on the pitch since Prep. Over the years, he has consistently led his teams to success, earning multiple MVP honors in top-tier youth tournaments such as RIFA, the Ceres Cup, and the Alaska Cup.
Manu and the rest of the PMNFT U16 squad are currently in Singapore for the Lion City Cup, which runs from 8-13 July 2025. Recognized as the world’s first international youth football tournament for national teams, this prestigious event features elite youth squads from Cambodia, the Korea Republic, the Philippines, Hong Kong, China, and host nation Singapore.
