Born-2014 Blue Eagles are back-to-back RIFA champions; Marcus Tale is MVP

Composed of players from Grades 4 and 5, Ateneo de Manila Grade School’s Midgets D/Born-2014 football team emerged victorious in the 2014 Division of the Rizal Football Association (RIFA) 2nd Phase Football Tournament that was concluded on 9 March 2025.
Rostered in the champion team are Alonzo Azores (4- Sumakwel), Rohan Balbas (5-Ati), Andrei Castañeda (5-Maranaw), Lucas Chuidian (5-Ivatan), Jared De Guzman (5-Ati), Miro De Guzman (5-Maguindanao), Aaron De Villa (5-Manobo), Maru Esgrina (5-Kalinga), Migo Gerial (5-Bagobo), Sam Krijns (4-Soliman), Anton Landicho (5-Kalinga), Yñhaki Lao (5-Ifugao), Zico Mendoza (5-Maranaw), Sochi Osite (4-Lapu Lapu), Javi Sumpaico (5-Maranaw), Marcus Tale (5-Mangyan), Evan Tupaz (4-Maniago), Max Unson (5-Ati), Luis Vergara (5-Maguindanao), and Gabby Villanueva (5-Maguindanao).
A special commendation goes to goalkeeper Marcus Tale, who was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament for his exceptional performance on the field.



This victory marks a back-to-back championship for the Born-2014/U11 Blue Eagles, who also captured the title during School Year 2023–2024. The team is expertly guided by coaches Mark Maravilla, Sean Alli, and Paeng Cruz, whose dedication and mentorship continue to shape the players both on and off the pitch.
The RIFA Phase 2 tournament was played in the football fields of Ateneo de Manila in Quezon City and in PAREF Southridge in Muntinlupa.
