Hannah Belarmino clinches bronze in 4th leg of Senior Ranking Open

Ateneo de Manila Senior High School student Hannah Belarmino (11-Perez) delivered a standout performance in the 4th Leg of the Senior Ranking Open, earning a bronze medal and securing Rank 3 in the Senior Women’s Foil event. Organized by the Philippine Fencing Association (PFA), the competition was held at the Multi-purpose Arena of the Philsports Complex in Pasig on 3 May 2025.
The Senior Ranking Open is recognized as the most competitive fencing tournament in the country, attracting top-tier athletes vying for a coveted spot on the Philippine National Fencing Team. Consistent top-four finishes across the ranking legs are key to selection for prestigious international competitions such as the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and the Asian Games.
With this strong finish in the 4th leg, Hannah remains a formidable contender in the national fencing scene. Her bronze adds valuable points toward her overall ranking, placing her in a promising position ahead of the 5th and final leg for the SEA Games selection, which will take place on 6-7 June 2025 at the Ormoc City Superdome in Leyte.
As the competition intensifies, all eyes will be on the final leg, where national team spots will be officially determined. Belarmino’s consistent excellence continues to shine as she fences her way toward representing the Philippines on the international stage.
