Adie Casenas wins silver in jiu-jitsu debut

In an impressive display of skill and determination, Ateneo de Manila Grade School student-athlete Adie Casenas (3-Pulog) claimed a silver medal in his first-ever competition, the Jäger Asian Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Held on 22 March 2025 at Ayala Circuit Mall in Makati, the event was presented by the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation of the Philippines (BJJFP) in partnership with Jäger International, one of Asia’s largest and most respected competition organizers.
Despite being a newcomer to competitive jiu-jitsu, Adie's remarkable performance in the event showcased his technical prowess and mental fortitude. His silver medal finish not only marks a major milestone in his athletic career but also solidifies his potential as an up-and-coming force in the sport.
