Marcus Dizon grabs gold in PRADA Chess tourney

In the recent 2025 Private Schools Athletic Development Association (PRADA) Chess Tournament, Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) chess player Marcus Dizon (8-Cottam) demonstrated his skill by winning a gold medal for board 2 in the midgets division, achieving an impressive record of 6 wins and 1 draw out of 8 games. In the juniors division, Yash Cayabyab (10-Saito) secured a silver medal, while Aidan Mejia (11-Hurtado) of Ateneo Senior High School won the bronze.
The Ateneo chess team was coached by Ildefonso Datu, Luffe Magdalaga, and Yves Ranola for the PRADA Chess Tournament, which was held on March 8, 9, and 15, 2025, at La Salle Green Hills in Mandaluyong City.
