AJHS Team 1 is JGFP Inter-School Junior High School Champion

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) Team 1 brought home the championship trophy in the junior high school division of the recent Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) Inter School Championship Tournament. Rostered in the team are Lujo Gomez (7-Beyzym), Iñigo Gallardo (7-Berchmans), Javie Bautista (7-Andlauer), Raj Crisostomo (9- Grimaltos), and Aenzo Sulaik (9-Mangin).
In addition, AJHS Team 2 emerged as the JHS division’s 2nd runner-up. Rostered in Team 2 are Juanton Cruz (7-Andlauer), Kevin Tecson (7-Baldinucci), Xandrei David (8-Dajani), Jai Comoro (9-Gelabert), and Felix Saludar (9-Grimaltos).
AJHS Team 1 overcame a six-stroke deficit to secure the championship. Its victory was a testament to resilience, teamwork, and the unyielding spirit of never giving up. This incredible comeback serves as an inspiration to all, proving that no deficit is too great to overcome when a team stands together, believes in its members’ abilities, and fights until the very end.
The JGFP Inter School tournament ran from 14 September 2024 to 16 February 2025 in Mt. Malarayat, Caliraya Spings, Eagle Ridge and Summit Point. The six participating schools in the junior high school category were Ateneo de Manila, Assumption Antipolo, Xavier School San Juan, Woodrose, De La Salle Zobel, and La Salle Greenhills.
