AGS fencer Trent Ignacio wins gold and silver in Hampton Court tournament

Ateneo de Manila Grade School student athlete Trent Ignacio (6-Brebeuf) won two medals – a gold and a silver - in the Hampton Court Winter Fencing Cup held on 15 December 2024 in Muntinlupa City. The gold was for the 12U Sabre Team event, and was shared with fellow Ateneans Aidan Taguinod (6-Pignatelli) and Eliam Mojica (from AJHS 7-Aranha). Trent’s silver was for the 12U Sabre Individual event.
The Ateneans were coached by Edward Daliva for the competition, which was held in the Hava Clubhouse at Hillsborough Village in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
Trent Ignacio is also a member of AGS’ inaugural robotics varsity, which was crowned “Best Rookie Team” in the 14th FIRST LEGO League Philippines tournament held earlier this month.
