AGS Born-2013 football team is QC Division Meet Champ; Navarro is MVP and Golden Boot awardee

Ateneo de Manila Grade School's Born-2013 Football Team emerged as the official Quezon City representative to the NCR Regional Meet after winning all its games in the Quezon City Division Meet. The QC tournament was held at the FEU Diliman Football Field on 23-24 November 2024. Rostered in the team are Migo Achas (6-Kostka), Red Alminar (6-Berchmans), Sancho Bautista (6-Pignatelli), Jose Bernal (6-Berchmans), Marcus Cuyugan (5-Subanon), Matt Diaz (6-Canisius), Zac Diaz (6-Xavier), Niall Enciso (6-Miki), Daniel Guerrero (6-Kostka), Anton Landicho (5-Kalinga), Ryan Moti (6-Brebeuf), Jacob Navarro (6-Xavier), Miggy Pineda (5-T’boli), Miguel Tagarda (5-Yakan), Ram Tuazon (6-Berchmans), Max Unson (5-Ati), and Altis Villaseñor (6-Faber). Individually, Jacob Navarro was awarded MVP and Golden Boot while Ryan Moti was named Best Defender.
Coached by Paul Madrona and Rafael Cruz, the Blue Eagles faced several public school elementary teams during the meet. Among them was Old Balara Elementary School, which was Ateneo’s finals opponent for the second consecutive year. AGS scored a total of 38 goals and conceded none during the entire tournament.
But the most meaningful part of the meet was when our boys gave their pre-loved football shoes and gears, along with a few dozen brand-new shin guards to their fellow football players from the public schools.
The team is currently preparing for its next challenge, which is to win the NCR Regional Championship and earn the right to represent NCR in the Palarong Pambansa 2025 Football Tournament.
