Blue Eagles claim 1 silver, 2 bronzes in UAAP Season 87 Juniors Chess tourney

Three Blue Eagles from our high school chess varsity - two from AJHS and one from ASHS - received medals in the junior division of the recent UAAP Season 87 Chess Tournament.
Arjay Co (AJHS 8-Colombiere) won the silver medal while Pio Caro (AJHS 9-Garnet) and Luis Gutierrez (ASHS 11-Borja) both bagged the bronze medal for their respective boards. Arjay, Pio, and Luis were coached by Ildefonso Datu.
The UAAP Chess Tournament was held from October 12 to November 19 at the SV Gym of the Adamson University in Manila.
