Ateneo girls place 2nd in UAAP Season 87 Swimming; Ortiguera wins 3 golds

The Ateneo Girls’ Swim Team concluded the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 87 Swimming tournament as 1st runner-up, the second year in a row for the Blue and White to place second in the girls’ junior division.

Over the four days of the competition from November 17 to 20, 2024 the Blue Eagles collected four golds, seven silvers, and four bronze medals in 15 events. Rostered in the team are Emma Cziomer (7-Balmain), Eunice De Guzman (7-Balmain), Athena Feliciano (7-Arrowsmith), Audrey Guntang (7-Baena), Ysabella Ofilas (7-Arrowsmith), Trixie Tabuñar (7-Andlauer), Aliya Tondo (7-Borgia), Marga Amoguis (12-Bobola), Mia Barretto (12-Daniel), Abbie Duquez (12-Xavier), Shar Go (11-San Vitores), Mika Lim (11-San Vitores), Sam Lim (12-Holland), Louie Malaluan (12-Arnaiz), and Trixie Ortiguera (11-Campion).

DAY 1 (17 November 2024)

The Blue Eagles were coached by Archie Lim, Candice Federiso and Gabrielle Meneses for the UAAP Season 87 Swimming Championships, which were held at the New Clark City Aquatic Center in Capas, Tarlac from 17-20 November 2024.
