Ateneo boys place 2nd in UAAP Season 87 Swimming; Martinez wins 2 golds

The Ateneo Boys’ Swimming Team finished the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 87 Swimming tournament as 1st runner-up, the third consecutive year in a row for the Blue and White to place second in the junior division.

Over the four days of the competition from 17 to 20 November 2024, the Blue Eagles collected two golds, six silvers, and five bronzes in 13 events. The members of the team are Tylo Alcudia (9-Ishida), Karl Cziomer (8-Corby), Edgar Gaston (9-Ireland), Zion Jalla (10-Realino), Marcus Molino (10-Nagashima), Gab Osabel (9-Mangin), Manuel De Leon (12-Arnaiz), Gabe Gaw (11-Tsuji), Joaquin Guzman (12-Sullivan), Thirdy Lentejas (11-De Brito), Miguel Martinez (11-Grande), Joaquin Osabel (12-Arnaiz), Jamie Sy (12-Daniel), Miguel Tungul (11-Borja), and Gabe Viovicente (12-Solinas).

DAY 1 (17 November 2024)

The Blue Eagles were coached by Archie Lim, Candice Federiso and Gabrielle Meneses for the UAAP Season 87 Swimming Championships, which were held at New Clark City Aquatic Center in Capas, Tarlac, from 17-20 November 2024.
