AGS' Joe Mendoza wins Team Gold and Indiv Silver for PH in Artistic Gymnastics tourney in Bangkok

Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Grade School student athlete Joe Mendoza (2-Lauan) won one gold and one silver medal in the 3rd JRC Artistic Gymnastics Stars Championships 2024 held from 1-3 November 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. The gold was won by Joe and the rest of Team Philippines in the All-Around Team event, while the silver was won solely by Joe in the Individual All-Around event.
Additionally, the competition also awarded Joe medals for his fifth place finishes in the Pommel Horse Apparatus and the Rings Apparatus events.
The Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) reports that the Philippines took home a total of 34 medals (21 gold, 9 silver, 4 bronze) from the event, which also attracted competitors from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Qatar, and Thailand.
