AJHS golfers place 2nd in JGFP nationals

The team of AJHS golfers JD Bautista (9-Ishida), James Carlos (9-Garate), Raj Crisostomo (8-Corby), Felix Saludar (8-Corby), and Aenzo Sulaik (8-Fernandes) emerged as national junior high school division first runner-up in the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) Interschool Championships on February 11, 2024. Individually, Raj Crisostomo was ranked #4 in the jhs division of the nationals while Felix Saludar was ranked #5. 

Among those the Blue Eagles competed against were the top teams from Homeschool Global, ICA, Xavier, and De La Salle Santiago Zobel, whom they lost to by five points in the finals.

The JGFP Interschool nationals were held from February 9-11, 2024, at Caliraya Springs Golf Club in Laguna. 

Prior to the nationals, the same AJHS team was named JHS second runner-up of the JGFP Interschool’s championship round on January 28, 2024. This round had them battling against teams from British School Manila, De La Salle Santiago Zobel, Homeschool Global, ICA, International School Manila, La Salle Greenhills, Poveda, and Xavier. It was the Blue Eagles’ podium finish in this round that earned them a slot in the nationals.

The championship round was held from October 7, 2023, to January 28, 2024, in four golf courses: Caliraya Springs Golf Club (October 7 & 8, 2023, and January 14 & 21, 2024) in Laguna, Club Intramuros (October 14, 2023) in Manila, Summit Point Golf and Country Club (October 22 & 29, 2023) in Batangas, and Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club (January 7 & 28, 2024) in Laguna.
