Borres & Llarena grab gold in CPJ tourney’s Juniors Mixed Pair Poomsae event

Three jins from the Ateneo de Manila Junior Taekwondo Team won medals in the recent Carlos Palanca Jr (CPJ) Taekwondo Championships.
In the Junior Mixed Pair Poomsae event, Lucas Llarena (AJHS 10-Nelson) & Ela Borres (ASHS 11-Garnet) won the gold.
In the Junior Men Kyorugi Black Division (under 78 kg weight class) event, Alonzo Pasion (ASHS 11-Wright) secured the silver.
Last but not least, Llarena bagged the bronze in the Junior Male Individual Poomsae event while Borres also bagged the bronze in the Junior Female Individual Poomsae event.
The Blue Eagles were coached by Jeordan Dominguez, Elmer Rafael and Lito Laga for the CPJ tournament, which was held from March 23-24, 2024, at Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City.
