Meet the players of Ateneo de Manila's first ever girls' volleyball team

Meet the pioneering young ladies of Ateneo de Manila Senior High School’s very first, official girls’ volleyball team! Rostered are players Rian Ardidon (11-Fontoura), Megan Cajucom-Uy (12-Arnaiz), Angel Dagala (12-Evans), Lian Dy (12-Evans), Jam Kaw (12-Beyzym), Nicola Ladignon (11-Gavan), Annika Lim (11-Nakaura), Reece Malonzo (12-Pantalia), Abby Martija (12-Solinas), Ces Nadong (12-Arnaiz), Ten Quimpo (12-Grodecky), Althaea Ramos (11-Owen), Reg Sanchez (12-Daniel), and Satya Torres (11-Angelis). They are coached by Franz Damian, Babes Castillo, and Jay Regala.
Against all odds, the team was made official in the second week of October, after hurdling such challenges as adapting to a new coach and his system, and dealing with the nerves that come with playing against schools that are veterans in the girls’ division.
And kudos to these Blue Eagles for winning the very first game they played in the ongoing UAAP Season 86 girls’ volleyball season on November 4, 2023, against UPIS.
