Chupungco bags bronze in ‘New Face of the Year’ TKD tourney

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School jin Nathan Chupungco (La Storta/9-Fernandes in SY 2022-23) bagged a bronze medal in the 2023 National New Face of the Year Taekwondo Championships. His medal was for kyorugi (sparring) under the fin category of the juniors division.
The New Face tournament is a platform to discover talents who have the potential to develop into elite TKD jins like Ateneo alumna Pauline Lopez. Around 3,000 jins participated in the championships, which were held from May 20 - 21 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Nathan is a member of the Ateneo TKD varsity and is coached by Elmer Rafael, Angelito Laga & Joey Paja.
