Ateneo wins its first ever PAYA Midgets table tennis championship

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School athletes Marco Baring (Montserrat/8-Isore), Matthew Basco (Cardoner/8-Aranha), Sandro Chan (Pamplona/8-Pongracz), Jacob Cobin (Montserrat/7-Grimaltos), and Eno Henson (Cardoner/8-Arrowsmith) made history on March 5, 2023, when they won Ateneo its first ever championship title in the PAYA Table Tennis Midgets Division Tournament. According to coach Karen Jaleco, the historic title win was made even sweeter because it was achieved at the expense of perennial table tennis archrivals La Salle Greenhills and Xavier School. The Blue Eagles swept all their matches, with Baring, Basco, and Cobin handling the singles games while Chan & Henson took care of the doubles games.
The PAYA Table Tennis Tournament was held at Xavier School in San Juan.
