‘Triple D’ wins two 12U basketball championships thanks to 4 AGS cagers

The Triple D Basketball Club 12 years old & under (12U) team won the Hotshots Season 2 12U Basketball Tournament on September 25, 2022. A week later, on October 2, Triple D won another title, namely, the City Hoops “Hard 2 Guard” 12U Basketball Tournament.
Nine players of the team are Ateneans, five from Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) and four from Ateneo de Manila Grade School (AGS). From AGS are Joaquin Baliwag (6-Regis), Julian Baliwag (4-Lakandula), Nico Henson (6-Gonzaga), and Z Molina (6-Berchmans). From AJHS are Basti Banate (Pamplona/ 7-Pires), Sky Jazul (Cardoner/7-Alfonso), JD Juangco (Cardoner/7-Alfonso), Domeng Ngo (Pamplona /7-Pires), and Santi Tison (Monserrat/7-Goto).
The Hotshots games were held at the Prime Mobility Sports and Recreation Center in Quezon City, while the City Hoops “Hard 2 Guard” tournament was held at Victoria Sports Tower, also in Quezon City.
