A-Squad places 3rd in ‘Next Level’ basketball tourney

Consisting entirely of Ateneo de Manila Grade School boys born in 2011 and 2012, A-Squad Basketball team emerged as 2nd runner-up of City Hoops Basketball League’s “The Next Level” tournament, 11U division. The members of the team are Sam Arao (4-Sikatuna), Joaquin Baliwag (6-Regis), Julian Baliwag (4-Lakandula), Rajko Baluyot (6-Gonzaga), Cash Escalona (5-Maguindanao), Manu Fernandez (6-Xavier), Oreo Gandionco (5-Tagbanwa), Jacob Liwanag (5-Talaandig), Mucho Mabigat (5-Ivatan), Gavin Manlutac (5-Ivatan), Z Molina (6-Berchmans), Manolo Pasion (5-Ifugao), Miguel Violago (4-Sikatuna), Keno Ymasa (5-Mangyan), and Migo Yoro (6-Brebeuf).
The City Hoops’ Next Level tournament began on August 6 and was concluded on September 3, 2022. The games were played at Victoria Sports Tower in Quezon City and were the first opportunity for these boys to join a basketball tournament after more than two years.
