AJHS-powered RPBC wins six 14U basketball titles in six months

From February until July 31, 2022, the RP Basketball Club (RPBC) Born-2008 team won six titles in various 14U tournaments held in venues located all over Metro Manila. RPBC Born-2008 consists primarily of Ateneo de Manila Junior High School grade 8 and 9 varsity pool members, namely Aiori Aquino (La Storta/9-Fausti), Sancho Enrique (Montserrat/9-Lalemant), Zane Kallos (Montserrat/8-Ishida), Ice Lanot (La Storta/9-Favre), Bugsy Lavarro (La Storta/9-Favre), Javier Lopez (Pamplona/9-Southwell), Jared Magpoc (Montserrat/9-Lewis), Gabe Mercado (Montserrat/8-Isore), Q Molina (Cardoner/8-Aranha), Dane Panesa (Montserrat/9-Lalemant), Luis Reyes (La Storta/9-Fernandes), Coco Santos (Cardoner/9-Baena), Drake Tagudin (Pamplona/9-Sitjar), Alfonso Tan (Cardoner/9-Baldinucci ), and Juancho Zaballa (Montserrat/9-Kisai).

RPBC is a developmental basketball club consisting of several age group teams formed post pandemic with the aim of jumpstarting and participating in the dormant basketball scene and enhancing club members’ talents with varsity level training and coaching. The team is coached and trained by multi-awarded and highly respected AJHS master tacticians Ron Camara and Pat Borjal.
