AJHS-powered ‘Prime Brothers’ basketball team is 13U champ of City Hoops ‘Redemption’ tourney

Consisting primarily of Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) students, the Prime Brothers Basketball Club (PBBC) team emerged as the 13-under champion of City Hoops Basketball League’s “The Redemption” tournament on July 13, 2022. From AJHS are the following 12 cagers: Dos Adriano (La Storta/8-Delgado), JB David (Montserrat/8-Ireland), Migs Favis (Montserrat/8-Ireland), Enzo Gallardo (Pamplona/8-Rubio), Pio Gonzales (Montserrat/8-Isore), Jhustin Hallare (La Storta/8-Delgado), Eno Henson (Cardoner/8-Arrowsmith), Liam Macapagal (Pamplona/8-Regis), RJ Nicolas (Montserrat/8-Ireland), Ram Ramos (Montserrat/8-Ishida), Andrew Sanchez (Montserrat/8-Ireland) and Ja Teodoro (Cardoner/8-Aranha).
Team PBBC won the championship via sweep in the games against various clubs and schools that were held at Victoria Sports Tower and PACE Academy in Quezon City. The “Redemption” tournament began in June and was concluded on July 13, 2022.
Nineteen days earlier, on June 21, the PBBC team also won the King’s Landing Basketball League (KLBL) Refresh Cup’s 13-under division championship, making the City Hoops title win a back-to-back victory of sorts.
