3 Ateneans are currently in US for Pony 13U World Series

Representing the Philippines, incoming Ateneo de Manila Junior High School grade 8 students Mio Ilagan (Cardoner/7-Alfonso in School Year 2021-2022), Raffy Blaza (Cardoner/7-Andlauer in SY 2021-2022), and Ethan Galvez (Montserrat/7-Grimaltos in SY 2021-2022), together with incoming grade 7 students Sancho Afuang (6-De Brito in SY 2021-2022) and Migz Cruzat, competed in the 13U division of the Little League Baseball Asia Pacific Regional Championships in Hwaseong, South Korea from June 28 to July 4, 2022. The Philippine delegation finished second behind the champion South Korean squad that will represent the Asia-Pacific region in the Little League World Series in August.


Blaza, Cruzat, Galvez, and Ilagan are currently in the US to represent Manila, Philippines in the 2022 Pony-13 World Series. The former 10U back-to-back Asia-Pacific champions will now battle it out in the 13U division against seven other teams. They will face Mexico on July 22 for their first assignment in the double-knockout championships being held in Modesto, California.
