The School of Science and Engineering envisions itself to be a recognized Southeast Asian center of higher learning with academic leaders engaged in service to the nation and global community through science, technology and innovation.
We move towards this vision through four main priority areas of research chosen because of their relevance in building our nation. These are Disaster Science and Mitigation, Environment, Health, and Science and Mathematics Education. Our research projects on these areas are interdisciplinary and funding in the last three years have totaled to over 300 M pesos.
These projects are run by eight departments working together seamlessly. Five of these departments are CHED Centers of Excellence and two are CHED Centers of Development.
The Philippine Council of Mathematics Teacher Educators (MATHTED) Inc. organized the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI) Study 27 Post-Conference Forum held last 26th of January 2025 at Ateneo de Manila University, with the support of the Department of Mathematics and the assistance of student volunteers from among the Math Ed Eagles.
The 27th ICMI Study Conference with the theme, “Mathematics Education and the Socio-Ecological” was held from 22-25 January 2025 at Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.
