14th AUN-QA Ateneo de Manila University Institutional Assessment: Shaping graduates of integrity and excellence
13 Mar 2025
The first AUN-QA Institutional Assessment (IA) of 2025 kicked off with Ateneo de Manila University from 17 to 21 February. As one of the 30 Core Member Universities of the ASEAN University Network (AUN), Ateneo has played a key role in various initiatives that have significantly contributed to advancing higher education across the region. This 14th AUN-QA IA underscores the University’s commitment to academic excellence, upholding a tradition of excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement for over a century. Its impact extends beyond national borders and has earned global recognition for its high-caliber programs and transformative initiatives.
The timing of this assessment also marks nine years since AUN-QA first conducted a program assessment at Ateneo in February 2016. Notably, this IA also introduced on-site advisors to enhance the assessment process further — the presence of Dato' Prof Dr Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, Vice Chancellor, Universiti Putra Malaysia; and Prof Reini Wirahadikusumah, Former Rector, Institut Teknologi Bandung, brought valuable leadership insights and expertise in university governance, strengthening the evaluation’s depth and impact.
The 14th AUN-QA IA at Ateneo reaffirms the University's role as a leading Jesuit institution in ASEAN. It continually strives for excellence and innovation in education. It instills in its students the values of conscience, competence, compassion, and commitment, preparing them to lead with integrity and serve the greater good.
This guiding philosophy fosters intellectual growth and a strong sense of social responsibility, preparing graduates to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
