Among his fields of interest in teaching are international political economy, global governance, and the politics of development.
Benjie holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, US (2001), an MA in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia, UK (1987), and an AB in Economics (Honors Program), Magna Cum Laude, from Ateneo de Manila University (1983).

40 Days of Lent: Day 11
"In this time of Lent when we are being invited to feel and recognize God’s presence more, perhaps we can begin by looking at this very fundamental aspect of our faith and journey: the name, and therefore feelings and beliefs, that we associate with the One who called and named us first."
40 Days of Lent: Day 12
"How have you lost and been lost? What of your true self and deepest desire do you need to regain? Which choices and actions before you should you take to accept Jesus’ salvation and return to the Lord’s embrace? God did not give up on us, never gives up on us and will never give up on us."
