Ateneo de Manila University has made a commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2021, Ateneo launched a set of strategic priorities that align with its sustainability goals. These priorities include educational transformation, integral ecology, bridging cultural divides, and universal health and well-being. By prioritizing these areas, Ateneo aims to continue advancing its sustainability efforts and make a positive impact on society and the environment.
The Uniservitate Award is a global recognition, organized biennially, to identify and showcase the initiatives that combine academic excellence and the concrete testimony of a socially committed institution. It also acknowledges and promotes Catholic educational institutions that best integrate academic learning with community service.

Every year, the Ateneo Socio-Civic Engagement for National Development (ASCEND) Awards honors undergraduate, senior, and graduate students for project and research work outputs that demonstrate mastery of subject matter and the capacity for synthetic thinking, while engaging the larger community outside the Ateneo in contributing to national development.
