Ateneo de Manila University’s Electronics, Computer, and Communications Engineering (ECCE) department celebrated a major achievement as Mr Emilio Perez, and Dr King Harold Recto (adviser) won Second Best Paper at the 6th International Conference on Automation, Mechatronics, and Robotics (ICAMEROB) 2024. The conference, themed "Unleashing Synergies: Pursuing Intelligent Integration of Automation, Mechatronics, and Robotics for a Sustainable Future," took place at Cebu Technological University from 26-28 September.
Their paper, "Gamifying Energy Management: Leveraging Lokalytica Smartmeter for a Sustainable Future," introduces an innovative approach to energy management by integrating gamification with smart metering technology. This research demonstrates how Lokalytica Smartmeter technology can boost user engagement and promote sustainable energy practices by applying game-like mechanics to energy monitoring.
