Batnag wins bronze for PH in Robotics and Computational Thinking Global Finals

Ateneo de Manila Senior High School student Nathan Batnag (12-Pantalia) won a bronze medal for the Philippines at the Design Thinking with Robotics and Computational Thinking (DrCT) International Competition Global Finals, which were held online on June 4, 2022. The results also revealed that Nathan- who competed in the Junior College/Grade 11-12 division- achieved a School Rank of 1, a Country Rank of 6, and a Global Rank of Bronze 15.

The DrCT competition provides students with a platform to learn about informatics and robotics in a creative and globally competitive way. It cultivates the participants’ logical reasoning ability and computational thinking skills, enabling them to solve everyday problems by leveraging the power of computers and information technology.
Participating countries in the DrCT global finals included Azerbaijan, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
