Paco Javier wins bronze for PH in Bulgaria-based math competition

Ateneo de Manila Grade School mathlete Paco Javier (5-Ati in School Year 2021-2022) won a bronze award for the Philippines at the Mathematics Without Borders (MWB) Final Round. He competed in age group 4 of the competition, which was held online on July 2, 2022.

In 2021, more than 1,200 mathletes from 17 countries (Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, China, Estonia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malta, Philippines, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Taiwan, Turkey, Uzbekistan) participated in the MWB Final Round. The MWB International Tournament originated in Nessebar, Bulgaria. It has three remote rounds called the Autumn Round, the Winter Round, and the Spring Round. Only medalists from at least one of these remote preliminary rounds may join the Final Round.
