Ballatan and Dugan each win bronze in PH round of World Math tilt

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School mathletes Nathan Ballatan (La Storta/7-Collins in School Year 2021-2022) and Miggy Dugan (Montserrat/8-Ireland in SY 2021-2022) both bagged bronze awards in the Philippines preliminary round of the World Mathematics Invitational (WMI), which was held online on June 18, 2022. Nathan competed in the Grade 7 division, while Miggy competed in the Grade 8 division.

As medal awardees, they have both been invited to join the WMI Final Round, which will be held online this Saturday, July 16, 2022. The WMI Final Round will be participated in by mathletes from over 30 countries and territories, including Afghanistan, Australia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Macau, Nigeria, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
Based in Taiwan, the WMI is a comprehensive competition that promotes and popularizes Mathematics among students from kindergarten to senior high school.
