Ateneo teams make top 20 in Financial Modeling University Championship

Students from the Ateneo de Manila University placed in the top 20 of competing teams in the Financial Modeling University Championship (FMUC), held last April to May 2022.
The Financial Modeling University Championship is a global competition for university students in finance and financial modeling. The competition involves case studies and preparation of financial models under individual and team categories.
The competition was organized by the Financial Modeling World Cup and the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management.
Two Ateneo teams reached the second round of the team category, placing in the top 20 of more than 120 competing teams. Team BBGs, composed of Management Engineering juniors Beatrice Marie D. Chan, Isabelle Beatrice L. Gonzales, and Germaine Marie O. Guinto ranked top 16. Team Tres Leches, composed of Management Engineering Juniors Maria Sophia Alexea H. Arcilla, Alessandra Martine N. Ching, and Mary Beatrice U. Gabaton ranked top 20. Management Engineering senior Joseph Emmanuel O. Argayoso also ranked top 30 in the individual category.
Team BBGs and Team Tres Leches were the highest-ranked Philippine teams in the team category, while Argayoso was the highest-ranked Philippine participant in the individual category.
The teams were supported in their efforts by John Patrick S. Delavin and Alfonso Miguel N. Sevidal from the Department of Finance and Accounting.
Team pad thai hor khai from Mahidol University in Thailand topped the team category category while Morgan Carr from Middle Georgia State University topped the individual category.
