Appointment of Assistant Vice Presidents in the Mission Integration Cluster


Upon the recommendation of Mr Rizalino D Rivera, Vice President for Mission Integration, I am pleased to appoint the following Assistant Vice Presidents (AVP) with the following terms in connection with the on-going functional organization in the Mission Integration cluster:

Assistant Vice President for Health, Care, and Well-Being

Three (3) years effective 1 September 2022 - 31 May 2025

During the initial year of transition, to allow a smooth transition and succession in their current administrative duties, Ms. Simpas will serve concurrently as the Director of the Loyola Schools Office of Campus Ministry until 31 December 2022, while Dr. Marquez will serve concurrently as the University Physician until 31 May 2023.

As mentioned in Memo # U2223-016, the four AVPs will be tasked to develop and implement a cohesive and holistic formation program across the academic and administrative units of the Ateneo that is rooted on Ignatian spirituality and its core values and principles, and to deepen a culture of mission among members of the University community.

On behalf of Ateneo de Manila, I would like to thank Rina, Joy, Leland, and Sio for their magnanimity in accepting their new appointments and for their readiness and commitment to serve in our shared mission.

Let us offer them our cooperation and prayers as they embark on their new roles and support the Vice President for Mission Integration in strengthening formation and social engagement in the University.
