Memo to                  :

The University Community

Subject                     :

Mission Integration Functional Organization

I am pleased to inform the University community of the functional organization of the Mission Integration cluster that shall formalize the reporting of formation and social engagement offices across the academic and administrative units of the University toward ensuring the University’s commitment to its mission of Ignatian formation and meaningful service to society.

The MI cluster will focus on four functional areas of Ignatian formation and social engagement, namely, (1) Ignatian Spirituality Formation, (2) Student Activities and Leadership Formation, (3) Social Development, Environment, and Community Engagement, and, (4) Health, Care, and Well-Being.  Each of these four functional areas, aligned with the University’s strategic priority areas, will be headed by an assistant vice president who will be tasked to develop and implement a cohesive and holistic formation program across the academic and administrative units of the Ateneo that is rooted on Ignatian spirituality and its core values and principles, and to deepen a culture of mission among members of the University community.  The four AVPs shall report directly to the Vice President for Mission Integration, Mr Rizalino D Rivera.

The transfer of offices to the MI cluster will commence within the month of August 2022.  Transition meetings will be convened by Mr Rivera with concerned unit and office heads and formation coordinators to agree on administrative processes that will allow for a smooth and efficient transition.  As a newly formed organization, MI will continue to review and assess the organization and its administrative processes and procedures during the year until it determines the desired efficiency in its operational practices.

Let us support the MI cluster with our cooperation and prayers.

Ad majorem Dei gloriam!
