Scholarships & Financial Aid

This scholarship is extended to deserving applicants with limited financial capacity to support their medical education. It aims to assist students who have a robust desire to play an active role in fulfilling the ASMPH vision and mission.

This scholarship is reapplied for, reviewed, and granted on an annual basis.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Filipino Citizen
2. Good Moral Character (Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by previous university for Incoming YL5).
3. Gross Annual Family Income (including any assets) does not exceed P 1,500,000.00
4. Grade Requirement - must be promoted to the next year level (for YL6-YL9 grant renewal)
5. No academic probation (for YL6-YL9 grant renewal)
6. No disciplinary case or reprimand in ASMPH and its partner institutions (for YL6-YL9 grant renewal).

Academic Excellence Scholarships

Academic Excellence Scholarship Grants are limited and awarded to students with excellent academic performance. It is given to students who graduated Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude from their respective universities with an NMAT score of 90 or higher.

• Summa Cum Laude – 100% Tuition and Fees
• Magna Cum Laude – 75% Tuition and Fees

This scholarship is for 5 years subject to annual review.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Filipino Citizen
2. Good Moral Character (Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by previous university for Incoming YL5).
3. Summa Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude Graduate (Incoming YL5, must show proof of Latin honors)
4. QPI of not lower than 3.0 and no grade lower than 2.5 in any module, subject or rotation (for YL6-YL9 grant renewal).
5. No removals in any module and subject (YL5-YL7) and no repeat rotation during the clinical years (YL8-YL9) for grant renewal.
6. No disciplinary case or reprimand in ASMPH and its partner institutions (for YL6-YL9 grant renewal).

GIDA Scholarship

This ASMPH scholarship aims to increase the availability of physicians who shall provide basic quality health care services to Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA) of the country. The ASMPH GIDA Scholar is strongly committed to return and serve GIDA communities after graduation.

This scholarship is for 5 years subject to annual review. Qualifications are as follows:

1. Must be a Filipino Citizen
2. Must be a resident of a GIDA community. The following documents must be submitted:
   • A Certification is required from the LGU or concerned government agency of the following: GIDA Status of the Area or Applicant is a resident of the GIDA Area or
   • Applicant is a voter of the GIDA Area (Voter’s ID)
3. If an ASMPH GIDA Scholarship applicant is neither a resident nor a voter of a GIDA community, said applicant must show satisfactory proof of his/her firm and sincere intention to serve a GIDA community. Such applicant may submit any of the following:
   • Barangay Certification of his/her involvement in a GIDA Community
   • Affidavit from a GIDA Community leader of his/her involvement in their community
   • Other similar proof showing the applicant’s firm, sincere and truthful intenstion to serve a GIDA Community
4. Good Moral Character (Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by previous university for Incoming YL5).
