The Department of Economics offers masters and doctoral degree programs. These graduate programs can be taken either full-time or part-time.
Doctor of Philosophy in Economics
Regular Track
This track is for candidates who already have an MA in Economics. Students without sufficient background are required to enroll in MA courses before proceeding to the PhD courses. Transferees are accepted if they fulfill eligibility requirements. Students are required to complete 51 graduate units, covering required courses, two specializations, cognates, workshops, and dissertation research.
The MA in Economics program is designed for academicians and future doctoral students. Students are required complete 36 units, including the MA required courses, two electives, and thesis research.
Master in Economics
The Master of Economics program is designed for professionals who want to have a stronger foundation in economic analysis as part of their professional growth.
