The School of Science and Engineering envisions itself to be a recognized Southeast Asian center of higher learning with academic leaders engaged in service to the nation and global community through science, technology and innovation.
We move towards this vision through four main priority areas of research chosen because of their relevance in building our nation. These are Disaster Science and Mitigation, Environment, Health, and Science and Mathematics Education. Our research projects on these areas are interdisciplinary and funding in the last three years have totaled to over 300 M pesos.
These projects are run by eight departments working together seamlessly. Five of these departments are CHED Centers of Excellence and two are CHED Centers of Development.
This year’s ASCEND Undergraduate Excellence Award was bestowed upon a group of 3rd year AB Development Studies students for their project entitled “PROJECT BANYUHAY: A Series of Capacity-building Workshops for the Digital Storytelling of UGNAYIN National Indigenous Youth Network and Indigenous Youth”.
