Position Title: Academic Program Assistant
Period Covered: Three Months (subject to renewal)
Description
The Ateneo School of Government is the public sector arm of the Ateneo de Manila University whose long-term mission is to teach and work with effective and ethical public servants to build prosperous, sustainable, just, and happy communities in the Philippines empowered by democratic, participatory, transparent, and accountable governance institutions and processes.
As a graduate school for leadership and public service, ASOG's academic and executive education programs bridge the gap between the classroom wisdom and real-world policy decision-making and governance. Through its research and extension programs, and its work with public, private and community organizations, ASOG aims to develop and foster innovative ideas and approaches in order to change mindsets and systems in such areas as leadership, poverty eradication, climate change, social accountability, and politics.
Tasks and Functions
The Academic Program Assistant is expected to perform the following tasks:
- In coordination with other members of the Academic Program, contribute to the efficient and effective planning, rollout, closing and evaluation of regular and customized MPM programs.
- Assist the Academic team in coordinating with faculty, teaching associates/assistant for the scheduling and rollout of the classes and implementation student enrichment activities;
- Coordinate the logistics, administrative and financial arrangements for the rollout of classes
- Assist the Academic Team on documentary requirements/students requests.
- Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Academic Program Head
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any management, or social science degree
- At least 2 years of work experience (familiarity in the academic setting specifically Ateneo de Manila education system is an advantage)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Google Suite. Graphics presentation skills is an advantage;
- Self-management, as evidenced by the ability to deliver outputs with minimum supervision;
- Good English communication skills, oral and written;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
