Dugan and Vivar win gold for PH in Philippine Int'l Math Olympiad Final Round 2024

Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) mathletes Miggy Dugan (11-Wright) and Vam Vivar (12-Geronimo) each won a gold medal in the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad (PhIMO) Final Round 2024. Dugan and Vivar competed in the senior secondary group division of the Olympiad, which was held online and onsite at the EVM Convention Center in Quezon City on 21 September 2024.
The PhIMO Final Round 2024 attracted participants from Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The PhIMO is the newest and most sophisticated international mathematics competition among kindergarten to grade 12 students. It is designed to honor the world’s best learners in mathematical problem-solving through friendly competition, and to foster cultural exchange among its participating countries.
