ASHS mathlete Kit Ieng Lee grabs gold in HKIMO 2024 Heat Round

Competing in the senior secondary group, four current Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) mathletes won one gold, two silver, and one bronze in the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO) Heat Round 2024, which was held online on 26 May 2024.
The sole gold medal was grabbed by Kit Ieng Lee (12-Pro), while the two silvers were secured by Mikaella Duran (12-Pro) and Mikhos Velez (12-Navarro). The bronze was bagged by Chynna Co (12-Pantalia).
The HKIMO is an international mathematics competition open to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It distinguishes itself by featuring standardized topics such as Logical Thinking, Arithmetic/Algebra, Number Theory, Geometry, and Combinatorics, aiming to stimulate interest in mathematics, strengthen creative thinking, and broaden international perspectives among young learners.
