AJHS students Joshua Gonzalez (7-Baena), Aegean Nakila (10-Rodrigues), and Joaquin Jobog (10-Rubio) won medal awards in the Asian Science and Mathematics Olympiad for Primary and Secondary Schools (ASMOPSS) Qualifying Round 2024, which was held online and onsite on 7 September 2024. Gonzalez won a silver for Math (primary category), while Nakila secured his silver for Science (secondary category). Jobog was the only student to win medals in both Math and Science, bagging bronzes in the secondary category.

The ASMOPSS test is designed to be completed in 60 minutes per subject area and is a rigorous examination of the participant's knowledge and problem-solving skills. ASMOPSS aims to inspire Grade 4-12 students to embrace science and mathematics early in their academic journey and to foster international collaboration in the field of primary and secondary education across the Asian region.
