AJHS' Ballatan and Nakila bag bronze in ASMO nat'l round

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School students Nathan Ballatan (10-Pongracz) and Aegean Nakila (10-Rodrigues) both collected bronze medals in the Asian Science and Math Olympiad (ASMO) National Round, which was held online on 6 October 2024. Nathan’s bronze was for Science while Aegean’s was for Math.
As national round medalists, Nathan and Aegean have been invited to join the ASMO International Round, whose participating countries include Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, USA and Uzbekistan.
The ASMO is a competition platform designed to challenge and evaluate students' knowledge in Science, Mathematics, and English at their respective grade levels. It places emphasis on the competitors’ abilities to find non-routine solutions to problems and to further stretch their knowledge and understanding of the concepts.
