SHS Ateneans Blanca and Dionisio each win gold at ASMO Nat’l Round

Ateneo de Manila Senior High School students Tiel Blanca (12-Ogilvie) and Sam Dionisio (11-Borja) won medal awards in the Asian Science and Math Olympiad (ASMO) National Round, which was held online on 6 October 2024. Tiel won two medals, a gold for English and a bronze for Math. Sam won a gold medal for Science.
The ASMO is a competition platform designed to challenge and evaluate students' knowledge in Science, Mathematics, and English at their respective grade levels. It places emphasis on the competitors’ abilities to find non-routine solutions to problems and to further stretch their knowledge and understanding of the concepts.
As national round medalists, Tiel and Sam were invited to join the ASMO International Round, whose participating countries include Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, USA and Uzbekistan.
