Pascua, Daga are respective JHS, SHS indiv'l champs of PH Nat'l Minecraft Education Competition

Members of Ateneo de Manila University’s joint AJHS-ASHS BluBLOC varsity team emerged as champions and podium finishers in the 5th Philippine National Minecraft Education Competition, which was held on 7 December 2024 in the Henry Sy Sr Innovation Center of Miriam College in Quezon City.
Leading the winners were Sannie Pascua (8-Chabanel) and Liam Daga (11-Fontoura), who emerged as the individual category’s Junior High School (JHS) Champion and Senior High School (SHS) Champion, respectively. Placing third in the individual category of the JHS division was Emman Urbano (8-Favre).


In the JHS team category, BluBLOC Team D - consisting of members Ian Auto (8-Fenwick), Dylan Lim (8-Claver), and Minecraft team captain Amiel Baquir (10-Pongracz) - placed second, improving on the team’s 3rd place finish in last year’s competition.

The Ateneans were accompanied to the event by AJHS-ASHS BluBLOC moderators Jason Arias, Lavi Subang and Joel Falgui, who also coached them for the competition.
The theme for the 5th Philippine National Minecraft Education Competition was "Resilient Cities." The event attracted contestants from 28 schools across seven regions from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
