Four current Ateneo de Manila Senior High School mathletes each won a medal in the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad (PhIMO) Heat Round 2024, which was held online on 14 April 2024 just days before School Year 2023-2024 ended. Leading the medalists was Miggy Dugan (11-Wright), who won gold in the junior secondary division and was a month away from completing junior high school when he participated in the Olympiad's heat round.

Patricia Lee (12-Anchieta) and Vam Vivar (12-Geronimo) secured silvers in the senior secondary division, while Laurice Bay (12-Ogilvie) bagged bronze in the same division. Patricia, Vam, and Laurice were mere days away from completing Grade 11 in ASHS at the time of the PhIMO Heat Round.
The PhIMO is the newest and most sophisticated international mathematics competition among kindergarten to grade 12 students. It is designed to honor the world’s best learners in mathematical problem-solving through friendly competition, and to foster cultural exchange among its participating countries. It is one of only a few math competitions that the Ateneo de Manila officially sends participants to compete in.
