05 Feb 2025

The University Community is set to benefit from a faster and more efficient e-jeep service with the new E-Jeep Express Lane (Line A) launch on Thursday, 6 February 2025. This initiative, spearheaded by the Campus Safety and Mobility Office (CSMO), aims to enhance campus transportation by reducing travel and turnaround times.
New E-Jeep Stations and Route Adjustments
To streamline operations and improve accessibility, the following changes will take effect:
- A new e-jeep station will be established at the Old Rizal Library, replacing the current Leong Hall stop.
- Another new e-jeep station will be set up at the JSEC Mall, replacing the Gate 2.5 stop.
Benefits of the Express Lane
The introduction of the express lane is expected to bring multiple benefits, including:
- Reduced Travel Time: The revised route and station locations will enhance efficiency, allowing more passengers to use the service.
- Improved Turnaround Time: Faster loops mean increased availability of e-jeeps throughout the day.
- Shared Lane with Bicycles: The express lane will accommodate bicycles, creating a safer, dedicated space away from motorized vehicles.
Additional Pedestrian Access Points
To complement the new express lane, two new pedestrian access points will be opened:
- PIPAC Parking Area
- College Lane (in front of the Old Rizal Library)
These additional access points will improve walkability on campus and facilitate easier access to transport options.
Commitment to Sustainability
The University encourages the community to continue supporting e-jeeps and bicycle use as part of its commitment to reducing carbon emissions. By choosing eco-friendly transportation, students, faculty, and staff contribute to a greener, more sustainable campus environment.
