Gab Asuncion is 2024 IMOCSEA Nat'l Round Champion and Top Scorer

Last June, then-incoming Ateneo de Manila Junior High School Grade 8 student Gab Asuncion (now in 8-Canisius) emerged as Champion, Top Scorer, and gold medalist of the International Mathematics Olympiad Competition of Southeast Asia (IMOCSEA) National Round, Secondary 2 division. The Olympiad was held online on 30 June 2024.
Six weeks later, on 17 August 2024, Gab won silver in the International Science Olympiad Competition of Southeast Asia (ISOCSEA), the IMOCSEA’s “twin” event.
IMOCSEA and ISOCSEA are international competitions for K to 12 students that aim to promote excellence and proficiency in Mathematics and Science, respectively, through friendly global competitions and to promote tourism in Southeast Asia.
