AGS' Ethan Alferez wins prestigious PIMSOlver's Cup in PIMSO Final Round 2024

Representing the Philippines, three Ateneo de Manila Grade School boys won medal awards in the Philippine Math and Science Olympics (PIMSO) Final Round, which was held online and onsite in Cebu last April.
Leading the awardees was Ethan Alferez (5-Bagobo in SY 2023-2024), who won gold for both Math and Science in the Primary 4 division, and was thus awarded the prestigious PIMSOlver Cup. Ethan was also the only AGS medalist who attended the competition onsite.


Meanwhile, Henri Lee (4-Diego Silang in SY 2023-2024) secured a silver for Science in the Primary 3 division, while Shun Sato (5-Maranaw in SY 2023-2024) secured a silver for Math in the Primary 4 division.
Organized and facilitated by International Champions in Education (ICE), Inc., PIMSO is an annual international competition which aims to promote excellence and proficiency in Mathematics and Science through friendly global competition among K to 12 students. The onsite PIMSO Final Round 2024 was held from 5-8 April 2024 at Solea Hotel in Mactan, Cebu, attracting contestants from countries like Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, and Philippines.
