Enzo Hernandez grabs gold in Hong Kong Science Olympiad's Final Round

Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) students Enzo Hernandez and Aegean Nakila won medal awards in the Final Round of the Hong Kong International Science Olympiad (HKISO) 2023-2024, which was held online and onsite in Singapore on 15 June 2024. Enzo and Aegean both joined the online Olympiad, with Enzo winning gold in the secondary 1 division and Aegean securing silver in the secondary 3 division. In SY 2023-2024, Enzo was in 7-Balmain while Aegean was in 9-Ishida.
The HKISO is a global science competition held annually for students from Grades 2 to 12. It closely follows the Hong Kong School Science Syllabus and tests what students have learned in their level of content in its four main categories (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Integrated Science), thus allowing them to know their strengths and weaknesses so they can better prepare for the other categories.
