Patricia Lee wins 1st Prize in PH round of Big Bay Bei Math Olympiad 2023-2024

Six Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) mathletes won medal awards in the two rounds of the Big Bay Bei (aka Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area) Mathematical Olympiad 2023-2024 held last school year. The BBB competition consists of two rounds, the Philippine Heat Round (HR) and the Final Round (FR). The Heat Round took place online on 3 December 2023 while the Final Round was held online and onsite in Macau on 16 March 2024. Only those contestants who won medal awards (gold, silver, bronze) in the Heat Round were invited to join the Final Round.
Leading the awardees was current Grade 12 ASHS student Patricia Lee (11-Bellarmine in School Year 2023-2024), ASHS’ only first prize winner in any round of the BBB competition.
The complete list of ASHS awardees who won medals in the Heat Round (HR) and Final Round (FR) of BBB 2023-2024 follows, with the mathletes’ sections from SY 2023-2024 indicated in parentheses. All ASHS mathletes competed in the Senior Secondary Group category/division.
